EGO is the English Graduate Organization, which exists to benefit all graduate students in the English Department—both MAs and MFAs. The organization holds literary journal submission parties, hosts graduate student readings, and holds small fundraising events like trivia or bake sales. EGO activities are intended to guide students toward professionalization—publishing and sharing their creative work—and to promote the local literary community. EGO is also an avenue for pursuing beneficial change for graduate students within the department. In the future, EGO hopes to help fund writing retreats or conference attendance, if funding is available.

EGO will announce upcoming readings on its MFA Program Facebook feed. Below are some photos from the fall 2019 EGO first-year student reading.
